      Welcome to the Small Town Showdown on August 31 - September 1, 2019 at facilities all around Nacogdoches, TX!  
       
      Hosted in the "Oldest Town in Texas", Nacogdoches is a vibrant city with a Main Street like no other.  With great shopping, eating, and overnight accomodations at the best prices, both your team and parents will enjoy the weekend on and off the field!

      **FINAL TOURNAMENT SCHEDULES HAVE NOW BEEN RELEASED FOR ALL BRACKETS THAT HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED.  SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL NOW ONLY BE MADE DUE TO NON-PAYMENT OR WITHDRAWLS BETWEEN NOW AND FRIDAY, AUG 30, 2019. **

    • Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex & Nacogdoches Sportsplex Field Maps
      Below are the field maps for The Small Town Showdown!  Please review them prior to attending the event.  We have additional fields on standby and will add those maps as we feel they are needed to come online.  The Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex is 5 min from Downtown Nacogdoches and there is plenty of entertainment and dining options all around town.

    • Check-In & Field Location Details!!!!
       
      With the Small Town Showdown right around the corner, here are the final details related to check-in:
       
      1)  Check in begins at 7 am and ends at 11 am, so please check-in within that window.  Please arrive for your team's check-in at least 1 hour prior to your first game's kickoff.
       
      2)  Here is a quick checklist to make sure your are all set for check-in:
      • Enter your players into the tourney roster online;
      • Bring US Clubs Soccer/USYSA Soccer cards to the event to match the rosters up;
      • If you don’t have cards, or for any players you don't have cards for like guest players, then please bring a copy of the birth certificate and the medical release for US Club Soccer/USYSA Soccer depending on which organization you are playing with.
       
      3)   You MUST be paid in full by 5 pm on Monday, August 26, 2019 to ensure you are not dropped from the tournament team list.
       
      The Tournament Headquarters will be at the Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex in the tented area by the concession stand.  All additional tents and festivities taking place at the Clint Dempsey Soccer Complex will be centered around that location.
       
    • Tournament Guidelines

      4 v 4 for U6 - U8 age groups | 7 v 7 for U9 & U10 | 9 v 9 for U11 - U12 age groups | 11 v 11 for U13 - Older age groups

      Game Lengths

      • 2-25 minute halves for U6 - U8 age groups
      • 2-30 minute halves for U9 - U12 age groups
      • 2-40 minute halves for U13 - Older age groups 
      • 5 minute halftime

      3 games guaranteed

      U11 and older will have throw-ins, goal kicks and corner kicks.

      U11 & U12 will not be able to head the ball, but will have no limits on height of kick.  Any header will result in an IN-DIRECT kick for the opposing team.

      U11 & U12 goalkeepers may not punt.

      U11 & U12 will have a restraining line only on goalkicks that may be crossed by the defending team AFTER the receiving player has touched the ball.

      Winners get an official Small Town Showdown - 2019 medal!
       
      Tournament Scoring
       
      WIN = 3 points
      TIE = 1 point
      LOSS = 0 points
      SHUTOUT WIN = 1 point bonus to reward defensive play as there is no beneift to running up the score.
       
      Refund Policy
       
      -All refunds will be subject to a $50 administrative fee that will be withheld from the refund payment.
      -All refunds must be requested by 5 pm on Tuesday, Aug 27, 2019.
      -There will be no refunds paid out after 5 pm on Tuesday, Aug 27, 2019.
